I've been working with a cosmetics line called Zana Cosmetics. I love the products and the philosophy behind it. This line is new and is based in Los Angeles and I am excited and honored to be part of the team. I'm not sure if I will be selling any of the products since I am not much of a seller, but if anyone is interested in any of the products or have questions, feel free to ask! :)
They are working on a whole new website and catalog and I was one of the couple of Makeup Artists that was asked to contribute my skills. I cannot wait to see the rest of the photos and the final production, but I did get to see one of the many looks that I did on the photo shoot.
Of course this is not your typical every day makeup, but it is bright, fun, and funky and I love it!
Again, this isn't the final product, but so far, I likey! I can't wait to see the rest of it... and of course, I will share it with yah!

The BEST Makeup Line? Eh...
Updates coming soon... I promise this time!
I just wanted to make a quick post about something thats been on my mind for quite awhile. :)
Often times, people ask me what brand of makeup I use. I can never come up with just one or two answers because that would be lying. I use all different lines and kinds of makeup. I still cannot think of one line that is good for everything. If there was, then the other lines wouldn't exist, right?
Most people love the tried and true MAC. I like MAC... but I don't love it for everything. There are often times when my friends are convinced that the Makeup Artist who uses all MAC products is the best one to hire because this, to them, is "high quality". Eh... its alright. And if you think that MAC is expensive, then you are definitely in for a surprise. MAC is actually one of the more inexpensive lines that I've worked with. Quality is there... but it can also be found elsewhere.
Name one line, and I bet you that I have something in my makeup kit from that line. Try me!
Yes, you would want to have the best of the best when it comes to makeup, but you don't have to sell yourself short because you don't have the Chanel eyeshadows (which I dreamt of last night) or the Laura Mercier lipsticks.
I truly believe that a great makeup artist can work with anything that they have. Throw me a few Wet & Wild products or N.Y.C. lipsticks and I'll show you what can be done. ;)
By the way... not to contradict myself, but most of the products in my kit are MAC. Not because I think that its the best thing to have, but I did go through a few years of a MAC obsession and that was all that I would buy. I know better now. MAC, I love you... but I have to let you know that you are not the only one I love.
Signed,
The Makeup Artist with the BIG Heart <3

Experience... I love it!
This past weekend, I worked on a short film as a Makeup Artist. It was my first job on a film, so I was so excited to get the job. It is such a different ball game and you'd be surprised on how different the makeup work is on set.
I am so glad and thankful that I got this opportunity to work with such amazing people on a cool and interesting project. The 15-18 hour days on set was so worth it. I cannot wait to see the final product and share it with anyone who is interested.
Film, I enjoy working on film. Now I can say that I have the experience. And you know what? I kind of like it!

Short Film? Sure!!
I am so excited right now, I cannot contain myself.
I just booked my first short film gig (as a Makeup Artist, of course).
I've never done film before, but I have always been interested in it, so I am STOKED!
Next week, I will be doing a fashion show, a photo shoot, another fashion show, and then a music video. Eeeeps! I feel like I've hit the jackpot by landing all of these jobs. Like I said before, what makes it even better is that it doesn't even feel like work!
I've been pretty busy with photoshoots lately. I wish I had the pictures already so I can share them with you. Patience? What's that?
Also, I have some exciting news for both you and I... so keep posted! :D
If only you can see this big smile on my face... *cheeeeese*

Models, I DO ADORE!
I just got a hold of some of the UNEDITED pictures from the photoshoot I did last week for Rachael's Spring 2011 collection. I am so pleased at how these turned out... even when it has not yet been edited at all whatsoever.
There are so many more cute clothes in her line and this collection in particular, but I really don't feel like posting ALL of the pictures here. I will just wait until it is published somewhere and then I will link you there. ;)
The models are so beautiful and fun to work with. Can't wait to work with all of them again. I especially can't wait to see the final product!
Okay... sharing time! :)
REMEMBER: These are ALL unedited so the lightings and such might not be perfect, but its still fabulous! :P
ADORE them! :)

Team Supastar!!!
Yesterday was amazing! Earlier in the week, a designer that I was supposed to do makeup for LA Fashion Week contacted me and asked if I was interested in doing makeup for a photo shoot for her line sheets. OF COURSE I was interested!
The Designer herself was incredible and such a pleasure to work with... and her clothes are just gorgeous... and oh so sexy! The models were beautiful, which made my job extremely easy, and I was able to work with an amazing hair stylist.
I realized that I love doing what I do so much that it doesn't even feel like its work... but it is. This was just another reminder that I am doing exactly what I have always wanted to do. What's more rewarding is that I got to meet and work with some very talented people.
We got to see some of the pictures before I left, and I am so excited to get them and share with you all. Ahhhh! I know Photographers put in so much time and work in their art, but I just don't have enough patience to wait. Eeeps! Okay... I will have to wait because I know it will be worth it.
OH... and I am officially part of team SUPASTARRRRR!! Whoot whoot...!
I was able to capture some pictures with my own camera and on my phone, but I think I should just wait for the REAL deal!
